Welcome to SHR!
Today, SHR represents about 5 500 workplaces, which combined represent the majority of the hotel- and restaurant trade's total turnover. SHR is a very reliable and respected organization in the community, especially since hotels and restaurants are important parts of the tourism industry and of increasing socioeconomic importance. SHR works to assure that laws, regulations and business conditions are designed to promote the industry's even greater possibilities in having a prominent position in Sweden - as well as internationally -thus further contributing to increased growth and new jobs.
A Trade and Employer Organization
As a trade- and employer organization, SHR covers two main fields of activity: trade questions and trade politics, and employer questions and negotiations with our union opponents.
The Trade Organization
Within the frame of trade questions, we cover legislation and regulation within our area. We inform our members and the world around us, answer relevant questions under consideration and function as the trade's collective voice in many different situations.
The Employer Organization
As an employer organization, SHR is the negotiation partner towards unions, of which the Hotel and Restaurant Union (HRF) and the Salaried Employees' Union (Unionen) are the largest. We negotiate collective agreements with each union. The legal advisors within the organization handle local and central negotiations on behalf of our members.
What are the advantages of a membership in SHR?
We raise relevant questions to politicians, the general public and the media. Our members are offered a number of services including free legal advice, information about changes in laws and agreements, political contacts, possibility to classify your facility, less expensive agreement insurance and a large choice of courses and seminars.
